This Top Load Washer Timer controls the length of the different parts of the wash cycle such as filling, soaking, washing, spinning and rinsing. If your washer is no longer progressing properly through each cycle, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. You'll have to remove the control panel to access the old timer, and disconnect it from its two wiring harnesses and plastic locking tab. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the appliance and novice repair experience. You must unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker before installing this part. Also make sure you turn off the hot and cold water supplies.
