DQS Certification India Private Limited announced plans to launch the knowledge portal on the subject of Software Engineering and Management System Learning Courses by the name of PeriDISTA. This knowledge portal, using internet technology, will provide the training and learning material on the body of knowledge for software engineering on subjects like software estimation, software development methodologies, software project management, software security, etc. These are key areas which will support the software engineering practices in the Indian IT industry.
This knowledge portal will cover subject matter on management system courses like environmental management, quality management, automotive sector quality management, ergonomics and heath safety management, aerospace quality management and information security management, etc. The uniqueness about these products would be that they would help the industry practitioners to enhance their knowledge in the area of their experience and will lead to improved management practices and efficient process implementation.
Rajendra Khare, the Managing Director and SEI Authorized Lead Appraiser, DQS Certification India Private Limited, mentioned that these training and learning materials would be available at very cost-effective prices and would have a very high knowledge content to satisfy the learning needs of industry practitioners. Rajendra also mentioned that portal would be commissioned by the end of August, 2008, and would be fully functional by end of 2008. Ravi Singh, the Program Director for Management System Learning Courses and Associate Director at DQS Certification India Private Limited, mentioned that he realized the need of such portal on the basis of his research on the learning requirements of industry in various sectors including both manufacturing and services sector.
